ORTIC Feeder Model 200

The ORTIC Feeder 200/80 is a robust and precision-designed equipment developed to meet the high demands of strip feeding for press tools in the industry. This machine offers accuracy and reliability to ensure optimal production results.

Feed Rollers:
The feed rollers are surface-hardened to ensure long lifespan and consistent performance. Both rollers are motorized and synchronized via a drive system, which guarantees smooth and accurate feeding of the strip. The rollers are driven together by a pneumatic cylinder and can be opened for easy threading or when lifting is needed if the strip is, for example, skewed.

Precision and Adjustment:

  • Feeding accuracy: ± 0.1 mm, depending on the servo motor choice
  • The equipment is equipped with double rows of vertical side support rollers, which are manually adjusted with a hand crank. This system ensures correct strip entry and offers individual adjustment of the two sides for maximum flexibility.
  • The feeder is manually adjustable in height with a range of ± 100 mm to allow adaptation to different tool heights.

Safety and Control:

The feeder is equipped with a safety switch with Adam/Eva connectors to indicate if the strip is being pulled against the strip straightener, reducing the risk of damage to the equipment from incorrect feeding. Additionally, the feeder is controlled from the ORTIC central control panel, enabling easy monitoring and control.

Measuring Wheel System:

The feeder is equipped with a measuring wheel system to precisely control the feed length and compare it with the length fed from the servo motor.
  • Components: Hardened engraved measuring wheel, pneumatic cylinder for lifting and pressure control, and an encoder/pulse transmitter.
  • The measuring wheel system checks and compares the feed length with values from the servo system, generating an alarm if discrepancies are detected.
  • As an option, the feeder can be provided with program software for shuttle control in tools, which allows saving and reusing die patterns through the HMI panel.

Lubrication System:

A lubrication system is usually placed after the feeder and before the press tool.
