Flying Shear for Higher Production Speed and Precision

The ORTIC flying shear is designed to cut profiles to the exact length during the roll-forming process without reducing production speed. Using innovative flying cut technology, the shear matches the profile’s speed, enabling quick and precise cuts without disrupting the production flow. Once the cut is complete, the shear smoothly returns to its starting position.

  • Maximum profile width (standard): 200 mm
  • Maximum sheet thickness: 4 mm
  • Cutting speeds: 0–40 meters/min
  • Cutting tolerance: Depends on production speed; e.g., ±0.5 mm at approx. 15 meters/min. For higher precision, a punching tool can be used.
